I am a Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at Northwestern University, which I joined in 1984. My degrees are from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris (M.S., 1972), and the California Institute of Technology (Ph.D., 1978). I am involved in teaching at all levels in the University, research in Seismology and other aspects of Geophysics, and advising of students. Here are a few links to these and other activities:
