Seager Fellowship in Geological Sciences

A fund for scholarships and other forms of financial aid to students majoring in the earth sciences has been established under the name of the Seager Fund. The donors of the fund are the late Oramel A. Seager (M.S. Geology, 1929) and Esther Totten Seager, whose bequest will provide several scholarships during the academic year. The fund also provides stipends in support of students' summer research, which may be performed either at Northwestern University or other institutions. Please consult the members of the departmental faculty or the undergraduate advisor for research opportunities in Geological Sciences. The Seager Fund scholarships and awards are available to:

  • Students majoring in Geological Sciences
  • Students majoring in the Geology Track of the Environmental Sciences Program

Inquiries about the eligibility and application procedures should be addressed to the University Office of Financial Aid, 1801 Hinman Avenue, Evanston, IL 60208, ph. (847) 491-7400.
