I am interested in understanding what type of microorganisms and how microorganisms are able to live in extreme environments. More specifically, in hypersaline environments which can be used as analogs to Mars because of its high presence of salts. Furthermore, I am interested in utilizing the lens of geochemistry and geobiology to understand these microorganisms more.
