Curriculum VitaeResearch Interests
Broadly, my research interests comprise an integrated sedimentological and geochemical approach to better understand paleoclimates and paleoenvironments. Specifically, my research has focused on the largest extinction of the Phanerozoic, the end-Permian mass extinction. I am looking to better understand changes in climate during the Permian-Triassic transition in a southern, high paleolatitude, continental setting, as preserved in alluvial deposits of the Bowen Basin in Queensland, Australia. For paleoclimatic interpretations, an emphasis is placed on weathering indices.
