DEPARTMENT OF EARTH AND PLANETARY SCIENCES

My name is Thomas (Tommy) Subak.  I am from Pennsylvania and am interested in the physical properties of rocks.  My undergraduate research was in geology and physics, and I additionally studied astronomy and math.  I am excited to combine these factors while studying how rocks behave at small scales and under extreme conditions.  I look forward to studying questions related to these concepts while working in the labs of Professors Mulyukova and Jacobsen.  Outside of school, I enjoy reading science fiction and spending time outdoors
